This 6 day/5 night retreat is designed for individuals who are seeking to come home to themselves in profoundly healing and transformative ways. Combining the ancient practices of yoga and meditation with a contemporary energy-based healing modality, this retreat will teach participants how to heal themselves and others with Reiki—while also giving them a sacred space in which to revitalize their bodies, refresh their minds, reinvigorate their hearts and renew their spirits.

The 7 day/6 night package includes an optional additional one day Mindfulness Meditation Introductory Workshop.

In the 6 day retreat, participants will:

  • benefit from daily yoga asana, pranayama and meditation sessions;
  • discover the origins and evolution of Reiki;
  • learn where Reiki stands in relationship with other complementary and alternative healing modalities
  • understand where Reiki stands in relationship with contemporary science;
  • explore the characteristics, elements and techniques of the Reiki system;
  • receive the attunements necessary to channel the Reiki energy at the First Degree of practice;
  • practice healing themselves and others using the Reiki energy.

In between sessions and during the breaks, participants will also get the opportunity to reflect, rest and rejuvenate themselves. No previous energy-healing experience or ability is required to participate in the retreat.
Optional one day Mindfulness workshop highlights

  • learn what mindfulness is and what it is not;
  • understand the power that mindfulness meditation has for allowing us to address the pressures and stressors of modern life with ease and grace and to even unlock our full human potential;
  • distinguish between formal and informal mindfulness practices;
  • explore foundational mindfulness practices such as the body scan, breath awareness, mindful eating, mindful walking, etc.;
  • discover how to cultivate mindfulness-related qualities such as loving-kindness, compassion and gratitude;
  • learn how to handle the most common challenges in and obstacles to establishing a regular practice.
