APRIL IS REIKI AND MINDFULNESS MONTH at WHY RETREAT

APRIL IS REIKI AND MINDFULNESS MONTH at WHY RETREAT

I am excited to be welcoming teacher Lyn to WHY RETREAT in April. For those of you who remember Moshe from classes he taught here last year, you might be interested to know that Lyn was Moshe’s first yoga teacher 6 years ago, and that he subsequently completed his 200 hour yoga teacher training under her. Moshe regularly teachers classes at Lyn’s yoga and meditation studio in Manilla, Philippines.

In addition to regular classes, Lyn will be offering 3 important workshops and one retreat while she is here.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Lyn Villanueva Fulache is a yoga and meditation teacher and teacher trainer, Reiki Third Degree practitioner, retreat facilitator and certified Eating Psychology Coach. She holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy with a focus on Eastern thought and has also studied under Dr. Nicholas Sutton and Dr. Jessica Frazier of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies. Lyn combines a decade-old mindfulness practice rooted in Vipassana, Yoga and Zen with an academic understanding of Hindu and Buddhist philosophies and is a student of renowned meditation teachers Dr. Jack Kornfield and Dr. Tara Brach.

When she’s not reading up on the world’s religions, Lyn spends her free time listening to neuroscience lectures and dharma talks. At work, she currently divides her time between leading yoga and meditation teacher trainings, designing meditation and Reiki courses and conducting workshops and retreats. Lyn is well-known for her clear, systematic and often irreverent teaching style and her ability to convey abstract, complex or technical knowledge in a lucid and accessible manner.
