How I Use Essential Oils

COLD SORES

I recently had a guest who developed a cold sore. She didn’t have any of her medication with her so I looked up what essential oils might help. I made up a salve with the ones I had on hand, she applied this regularly for 2 days and the cold sore was gone. She says it normally takes 2 weeks to run its course but this stopped it in its tracks.
1 drop each of these oils in a teaspoon of base (I had emulifying cream which is parafin but any base cream would probably be fine)
Melaleuca (Tea tree)
Peppermint
Lemon
On Guard
Lavender
Bergemot

INSECT REPELLENT

I use coconut oil as the base for this – 10 drops each in 2 tablespoons.
Patchouli
Sandlewood
Cedarwood
Rosemary
Lemongrass

INFUSED OLIVE OIL

This is great as a base for salad dressing, or as a marinade for meat, fish or poultry.
250 ml Extra virgin olive oil
20 drops lime
12 drops ginger
3 drops black pepper

My New Favorite Smoothie

1 scoop strawberry Clean Lean Protein powder (actually any flavor seems to work)
1 scoop Good Green Stuff
1 tablespoon of Flax oil
1 tablespoon of yogurt
100ml coconut milk
one drop each of oregano oil and on guard oil

It doesn’t taste as weird as you would think!

Hand Sanitiser

1. In a glass spray bottle, combine 1 TBSP aloe vera and 20 drops doTERRA On Guard.
2. Fill the rest of bottle with water. Shake until combined.
3. To use, spray on hands and rub together.

PEPPERMINT SLICE


BASE-
Place in a blender or food processor-
5 dates
2 scoops of chocolate protein powder
3 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp cacao
1/4 cup walnuts
2 tbsp LSA
Press into a tray (glass dish or line with baking paper)
TOPPING
Melt 1/4 cup coconut oil
mix in (stir)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
6 drops Doterra Peppermint essential oil
pour over the base
Chill 2 hours, Keep refrigerated

LEMON MOUSSE


1 can coconut cream
1-2 tbsp coconut oil
3 scoops Vanilla Protein Powder (Clean Lean Protein)
2 tablespoons Chia seeds
6-8 drops lemon essential oil (or a combination of lemon and 4 drops wild orange)
Blend or place in a nutribulet – pour into serving dishes and chill several hours. Garnish with fresh lemon zest.
